Recently, the Southeastern Coastal Region of the U.S. has become an increasingly difficult market to place and maintain affordable property coverage. Reinsurance costs are climbing and capacity is in high demand. In an effort to continue supporting our brokers in these geographies, we are working closely with our insurance and reinsurance partners to find the best solution(s) to maintain their continued support.
In the meantime, we remain closed to new business in Florida and Louisiana; we have also had to alter our underwriting appetite in other Catastrophe exposed areas. While we understand that this can create difficulties in obtaining coverage for your clients, we thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this difficult market. As conditions change and our discussions progress, we will provide further updates as soon as practical.
